NAZI GERMANY Adolf Hitler was born on 20th April 1889 in Austria-Hungary to Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl. He served Germany in the First World War and later linked The German Workers Party in 1919, but by so it had only a few members, very little funds and no real political programme. However, all its members shared a common dislike for the Weimar Republic and wanted to make Germany urbane again, like how it was before the war. In 1920, Hitler became the leader of the party and renamed it the discipline Socialist German Workers Party (Nazi Party). The party was set along military lines and in 1921, Hitler set up his own snobby army, the SA (Sturm-Abteilung or Stormtroopers). They dressed in brown and were sometimes have it away as the Brownshirts. The Nazi party had grown rapidly since Hitler had depart its leader. By 1923, it had 55000 members. In November that same year, Hitler decided that the party was literal enough to attempt a putsch in Munich. This snub became known as The Munich Beer Hall Putsch. The putsch however failed, and destroy in 16 Nazis being shot dead and hundreds of others injured, including Hitler himself. In the September 1930 elections, the Nazis increased their number of seats from 12 to 107. THEY triplex THEIR VOTES IN 1932!

In March 1932 Hitler had challenged Hindenburg for the Presidency and received an erectile 13,420,000 votes against Hindenburgs 19,360,000. [J O CLOAKE,33] . General Schleich er did not only plot Brunings downfall but p! ersuaded Hindenburg to replace him with Franz von Papen. Unfortunately, Papen had only 68 supporters in the Reichstag, so he called for elections in 1932, hoping for a surge in his popularity. The result of this merely made the Nazis the biggest party in the Reichstag, and Hitler demanded to be made Chancellor.
