The Billboard in The Gatsby Gatsby
One of the roughly recognizable and memorable images from The bulky Gatsby is the billboard advertisement of the visit of T.J. Eckleburg. This symbol potbelly be associated with a lot end-to-end the oerbold and also makes the fellowship that the eyeball of T.J. Eckleburg be ceaselessly watching, as so ar the eyes of graven image. The eyes ordure also symbolize umteen things, which also gives clues to the overall novel and different situations. This billboard was sooner made to advertise for an optometrist, which in this case, give the axe be mean the commercialism in America. deportment at formerly is mainly astir(predicate) how much money we cigarette get. It seemed that people werent real putting an importance on God anymore, leaving Eckleburg to look down upon the people who have given up their ghostlike values, chasing the possibility of wealth instead. This supports the ideal of the billboard representing the corruption of the people in society. The people of this age seem to be losing confederation to God.\nThe author, Fitzgerald, seems to bring the importance of these symbols out by connecting them within the characters.
